Specifically, respondents believe that lawmakers who cannot perform their duties should not count toward the final tally.

Public Backs Adjusting Threshold in VP Duterte Impeachment Survey
The survey highlights a clear preference regarding how the Senate should handle unavailable members:
- Excluding Unavailable Senators: First, 54% of respondents agree that the Senate should exclude detained, hiding, or out-of-country members from the vote requirement. Conversely, 30% disagree with this proposal, while 16% remain undecided.
- Adjusting the Two-Thirds Threshold: In addition, 53% of respondents favor adjusting the voting threshold to two-thirds of the 20 active, available senators. Meanwhile, 31% disagree, and 16% are undecided.

Survey Methodology
Tangere conducted this non-commissioned study from September 8 to 9, 2026. The team administered the poll via a mobile application, sampling 1,200 respondents nationwide. The study carries a +/- 2.96% Margin of Error at a 95% Confidence Level. Furthermore, the sampling method covered 12% in NCR, 23% in Northern Luzon, 22% in Southern Luzon, 20% in Visayas, and 23% in Mindanao.
